Hi, this is Linda kay. As most of you probably know by now, we made two exits from Atlanta due to some airplane problems. So we were here approx. 5 hrs. late here.
Our first day was very late night. We had awesome accommodations. We stayed with several different people for a couple of nights.
Sunday we attended 2 church services. The first being one with rev. Botha at his church, with tim preaching. Our second one was with the sites church. It was soooo awesome watching these kids come in when they found out we were present. I thought at the time, that anyone thinking "why go back again", missed a fantastic experience watching these children with their smiling faces words could not really express the feeling of this. Many of us were hugged and greeted and anxious for the next day vbs.
Our first day had 132+ preschoolers, ages 2-5, the primary grades had approx. 150 children. To say we were overwhelmed and excited would be an understatement. How many will we have today? Many of us are having breakfast now, it is approx. 6:30 a.m. we leave for the site around 8.
Hi and love to all. Hope all is going well with everyone. PS it is beautiful here!!
Love to all, LK

Hey everyone—this is Mary Ann!! It is Tues.morn. and we were awakened by the lions roar and the rooster!! Buis Fontein is so beautiful (the lodge where we are staying). We had a wild, crazy, wonderful bible school yesterday with many beautiful children that were so happy to see us. We miss our family and friends, but this is soooo GOOD! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers—we covet them.
Much love, Mary Ann

The team is tired from long days so far but all in good health. Yesterday was a crucial day for us to get everything kicked off on the bible school and even though there were some glitches we had an overall successful day and we will be able to iron the glitches out today by tweaking the schedule and better communication. We have a beautiful sunrise today while sitting at the breakfast table.
The Lord has another good day in store for us and we have to go grab it.
Regards Gerhard .

Hi Everyone,
Not sure if you will get this but I am trying it out.
Things are fine here. Went to the Highland Games this last weekend and met some wonderful people. Jerry is doing better with his arm. It is 10 am and already 84 outside.
I have finished the Old Testament and reading in Matthew now. I will share a verse with you that means a lot to me since Jerry is out of work. Matthew 10: 29-31 What is the price of two sparrows - one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
Glad to hear things are going well with all of you.
I will be flying to Oregon the end of June to be with Mom at the memorial. (Her husband George died two Sundays ago.) I will also fly to Oregon sometime in August for her surgery. The numbers were not going down quick enough so they have her on different chemo now which should take it down to where they want it.
Look forward to hearing more from you and what is going on in South Africa.
Sydnie
